We earn little money, but we have fun

The 2014 World Cup is ours.
We were searching for news on the BBC website when we found this article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/internationals/7068848.stm.
The article is about Brazil being named as the host nation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It also includes a discussion of whether the country will be a good host or not. But we, as Brazilians, we aren't worried about it. The only thing we care is: will it be good for Brazil to host the World Cup in 2014?
According to Super Interessante Magazine "The World Cup gets you poorer. And happier". We think so. The structural investment on this project will be monstrous and the return, not so much. When a country hosts a World Cup, the gains do not cover the expenses with stadiums. However, Brazil will become more visible and in a corrupt country like ours, it will be a forced way to invest in infrastructure. In social terms, the positive impacts of the World Cup will be seen in a long-term, because immediately just the politicians, the teams and their fans will be benefited. If the World Cup gets us poorer and happier, remember that happiness is more important than money and let's enjoy it. Because "Soccer is more than a sport for us, it's a national passion".
The World Cup is ours, and also the inequality.
